ORLITA® DR Rotating Plunger Pump

The ORLITA® DR range has a valveless rotating plunger-type dosing head. It functions by means of a simultaneous oscillating and rotating plunger action. The impeller itself opens and closes the suction and pressure side. This means the pump does not need valves and can be operated in a broad high frequency range.   This working principle allows exact dosing of highly viscous media, which may also have solid constituents.

  • Broad application spectrum: Operating pressure up to 630 bar, temperature range – 40°C to +400°C

Areas of application

Dosing of highly viscous media containing solids, for example in the food industry.

Features

  • Performance range 0 -4,000 l/h per pump head, max. pressure 630 bar.
  • Work materials: pump head made of stainless steel, cylinder and plungers with wear-resistant surface coating. Depending on the area of application, other high-performance materials are also available.
  • The play between the plunger and cylinder responsible for the sealing effect is selected according to viscosity.
  • Lanterns at the rear head end, either as a collection annular space for leakage or pressurised with a blocking medium
  • The lantern is sealed with elastomer lipped sealing rings
  • Conveyance direction can be selected according to the fitted position of the plunger.

  • Ceramic plungers and bushing
  • Pump head with heating or cooling cover
  • Without seal with metallic sealing lantern
  • Other options such as electrical stroke adjustment on request

Note: Qth corresponds to the theoretical discharge flow of the pump. The effective discharge flow is lower depending on the particular head pressure of the pump.
