German Centre for Music Therapy Research, Heidelberg
Since the foundation of the German Centre for Music Therapy Research (DZM) in 1995, the institute has been very much promoted by the entrepreneur family Dulger. Since the year 2000, the research institute bears the name of the ProMinent founder and is now called “Viktor Dulger Institute”.
In accordance with its principle, the DZM unites research, theory and practice under one umbrella. The main focus of the work is practice-oriented fundamental and application research. Music therapists, physicians, musicologists and psychologists develop music-therapeutical and music-medical concepts in interdisciplinary projects for curing or for improving the life situation of people who have fallen ill.
